Executive membership is open to those persons who exercise active responsibility for management, general supervision or administration of a public use airport, are engaged in such activity as a gainful occupation and who devote at least fifty percent (50%) of their daily working hours in matters that directly relate to the administration/management of an airport, including but not limited to:

1. Directing the work of two or more other employees or persons.
2. Hiring or firing other employees or making recommendations as to hiring, firing and the advancement, promotion, or change of employment.
3. Preparing and overseeing a budget for airport administration/ management, or capital improvements, or maintenance or operations.

NOTE: Executive membership applications are screened by SWAAAE Headquarters and presented to the Board of Directors for approval at their quarterly Board meetings. Applicants will receive notice of their acceptance shortly after the next SWAAAE Board Meeting.

Individual who has an interest in airport management and development of aviation in general or in the field of aviation by a government agency or an official of an airport governing body, including airport staff who do not meet the minimum qualifications for Executive status.

Company that has a business interest in airports, aviation or aviation products.  Corporate membership is by company.  SWAAAE requests that one company representative be designated as a SWAAAE point of contact/voting member.

NEW!  Company that has a business interest in airports, aviation or aviation products.  Corporate membership is by company.  A Corporate Group Membership extends a Corporate membership to three employees or named members, with one retaining voting rights.  SWAAAE requests that one company named member be designated as a SWAAAE point of contact/voting member.  Each named member is eligible for membership benefits. If so
desired, companies with a Corporate Group membership can apply allotted conference
discounts towards non-named members within the company.

Individual engaged in the study of airport management or related field at an accredited college or university. Applicant must submit copy of current college I.D., current class schedule and projected graduation date.
